Great Gifts for RVing Kids

Gifts that kids like and will use, that don't take up a lot of space, and that actually help cut clutter! 

Prepaid Telephone Cards – so they can call their friends (or grandparents) when they miss them. The cards automatically limit the length of the calls. You might consider allotting one card per month, to use as the child pleases.

Camera – for taking pictures to send to friends and family, for adding to a personal scrapbook, and for educational purposes. Film later makes excellent stocking stuffer and Easter basket type gifts.

Scrapbooking supplies – to organize travel mementos or to expand a personal interest. Tag along gifts can include decorative edge scissors, markers, stickers, fancy papers, and rubber stamps.

Backpack or tote bag – to keep like things in one place, such as all the things the child takes along in the car every day, or scrapbooking supplies, or showerhouse supplies. They are great storage extenders – hang several from a wall hooks.

Atlas – one the child can write on, tracing routes traveled with highlighters and making notes in the page markers.

Cassette recorders – for making tapes to send to family and friends – and playing the tapes received back in exchange. Kids can entertain themselves for hours by making and recording strange sounds, animal imitations, and other assorted noises and playing then back to listen to themselves.

Homemade coupons – to redeem whenever the child chooses. These can be for souvenir t-shirts, trinkets, or any items that the child collects. They place limits on how many things the child can accumulate, while still allowing him the
