Casino Jobs Put Working RVers
in the Excitement of the Gambling Action
Do you long for bright lights, lots of action in your job, and
excitement all around you? If so, working in a casino could surely be your dream job. If you think you need to attend dealer school to
get a job, you may be right, but not always. There are many jobs behind the scenes in casinos, and a lot of them are entry-level, so
you can start at the bottom with little experience, and move up into other positions as you gain experience and knowledge.
Finding a job in a casino isn't quite as
difficult as you might think. Deadwood, South Dakota, and Biloxi,
Mississippi, along with Indian Reservations across the country have
legal gaming. The premier gambling cities are still Las Vegas, Reno,
Lake Tahoe, and Atlantic City, and jobs there are almost always plentiful. Great opportunities also exist in
some foreign countries, and even on cruise ships, so a career in gaming could take you on a trip around the
world.
I've worked in the casinos, as a hostess, cashier, and cage teller.
You can make an incredible amount of money in tips. Since casinos are
open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you can often choose shifts
that leave you either free days or free evenings to see the tourist
sites in the areas. Casino managers are used to short-term workers and
won't likely be put off by an RVers willingness to only make a seasonal
commitment.
How to Break Into Casino Jobs will give you the information you
need to find work in a casino, and the tools necessary to land a good job in a casino. It will also give you an idea of what to expect
when you work in the gaming industry, and provide a step-by-step plan you can follow to begin your new life working in a casino near
you. It will also profile some common, and not so common jobs in the casinos, to give you an idea of the wide variety of positions
available for skilled and unskilled workers.
