Working as a Pet Sitter

RVers can do pet-sitting for other RVers or for those who live in more traditional housing.

Some pet-sitters stay in the pet owner's home. Others visit the pet owner's home on a regular basis to provide pet care and companionship. RVers often combine the methods, living in their RV home while parked on the property of the pet owners.

Since RVers often take day trips and side-trips of several days or more, there is a real need for pet-sitters to work in RV parks and campgrounds. The campground manager may help in letting the pet owner know about available pet sitters in the park.

It may also be helpful to register with a national registry for pet sitters and house sitters. Pet-sitting registries work to put those with pets and those who work as pet caregivers in touch with one another.
